Horse ear bonnets are a popular equestrian accessory. They can soften or mute environmental noises and prevent distractions, while helping horses focus. When the horses' hearing is minimised, they depend more on the rider for directions in terms of touch or other aids.
Ear bonnets also keep flies, dirt, and rain away from horses' ears, since these irritate or distress the animal.
Throughout his equestrian career, Sheikh Ali Bin Khaled Al Thani has ridden exceptional horses but as he has stated, “my horse No. 1 is ‘First Devision’”.
