3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum
The 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa marked the first time the tournament was held in the African continent.
Zakumi the Leopard was the official mascot of the Cup.
Zakumi’s name comes from a combination of ‘ZA’, standing for South Africa, and ‘kumi’, a word that means ‘ten’ in several African languages. Zakumi’s dyed green hair was the perfect camouflage on the grassy football field!
In the final, Spain defeated the Netherlands 1-0, winning its first World Cup title.
