The 2010 IAAF (International Association of Athletics Federations) World Indoor Championships took place on 14 March at the Aspire Dome in Doha. The dome opened in 2005 and is credited as the world’s largest indoor sporting facility.
USA runners Jamaal Torrance, Greg Nixon, Tavaris Tate and Bershawn Jackson, whose authentic signatures are seen here, used this baton in the men’s 4x400 final. They claimed gold, accomplishing a world-leading time (3:03.40). Belgium and Great Britain took silver and bronze, respectively.
