This six sheet advertises Warner Bros.’ 1938 Technicolor classic The Adventures of Robin Hood, the grand swashbuckling retelling of the legendary outlaw's tale. Directed by Michael Curtiz and William Keighley, the film paired Errol Flynn as the dashing Robin Hood with Olivia de Havilland as Maid Marian, Basil Rathbone as Sir Guy of Gisbourne, and Claude Rains as the scheming Prince John. The poster's dramatic central artwork captures the climactic duel between Flynn and Rathbone against a bold heraldic shield, with the cast and the ‘Photographed in Technicolor’ banner prominently displayed.

This is the only known surviving example of the six sheet for this film, making it exceptionally rare. The poster originally showed pinholes, minor edge tears, small chips along the folds, a hole near the title and four censor stamps: at the left of the title, in the Technicolor banner, on Rathbone's knee and in Flynn's name. Following professional restoration to address these issues, the poster is now graded Fine/Very Fine and is linen-backed for preservation.
