This bracelet, made from elephant ivory, is finely carved. It features a broad, disk-like form with a gently rounded central ridge. The smooth surface displays a warm, aged patina, characteristic of early 20th-century craftsmanship among the Nuer and Shilluk peoples of Sudan. It exemplifies the arm adornments of this time, which had both aesthetic appeal and cultural significance.
