Tahadi 2 (Defiance 2)

Ahmed Nawar’s Tahadi 2 is a bronze sculpture that transcends literal representation. In his work, Nawar stated that ’salvation and the upholding of human rights’ are the primary reasons behind humanity’s persistence and interconnectedness. He embodied this concept by splitting one bronze block into two dynamic but arbitrary halves that merge, interact and conflict in their structure, forging a relationship he describes as ’geo-organic’.
