This wooden rectangular spindle has a bamboo stick passing through its centre. The wood has been painted yellow and there is an oxidised metal hook on the top. A twist of wool is wrapped around the stick, and fabric and twine have been wrapped around the centre of the spindle head, presumably to secure it to the shaft.
