The 2020 FIFA Club World Cup was hosted by Qatar and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place in February 2021. Established in 2000, the Cup is an international tournament between the winners of the six continental football confederations.
Al-Duhail Sports Club, Qatar’s league champion for 2019-2020, participated in the 2020 edition and Bayern Munich won the Cup for the second time in its history, following a 1–0 victory over Tigres UANL.
Tigres is a Mexican professional football club, the official team of the University of the state of Nuevo León. They have been Mexico league champions eight times. In the Qatar tournament, they became the first Football club of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association to reach a FIFA Club World Cup final.
