This lavishly illustrated work, of which very few sets survive, is one of the most sumptuous botanical works of the 18th century. Illustrated by famous artists, among them Georg Ehret (1708-1770), it includes a wide range of cultivated flowers from this period, all of them from the author’s own garden.
