Headscarf
National Museum of Qatar
This headscarf, known as a milfa, is a traditional women's head cover made of soft black tulle that is almost transparent. It is held in place with a pin known as mishbas. The veil is wrapped around the head and neck in a specific way, with the front part covering the chest while the rest hangs low down the back, covering the hair. Milfa is typically worn with a face covering and body covering as part of a woman's outfit. When decorated with gold or silver thread, it is called milfa naqda. The length of milfa is usually around two to two and a half meters long.
