What distinguishes Sindh rifles like this one from other types of rifles is the semicircular curvature at the rear wooden section, which is often decorated with small patches of silver or copper at the corners to add an aesthetic touch. These Sindh rifles typically have barrels made of folded steel, with intricate and beautiful wave patterns on the surface, further enhanced with floral and calligraphic gold inlay. Some examples of these rifles were once owned by princes of the Talpur dynasty, who ruled Sindh from 1783 until 1846.
