Albertville 1992 Winter Olympic Games Medal

This bronze winner’s medal was awarded at the Albertville 1992 Winter Olympic Games. The obverse features the Olympic rings set against a mountain valley landscape, symbolising the Alpine setting of the Games. The reverse displays an engraved design in colourless glass representing mountain peaks. Created by the French crystal manufacturer Lalique, the Albertville 1992 medals were the first Olympic medals to incorporate glass, combining traditional medal-making with exceptional craftsmanship.
